Seed dispersal:

It is a mechanism through which seeds of plants are transported from one place to another from germination with the help of some agents and special characteristics found on seeds. There are various methods of seed dispersal such as through water, wind, animal, explosion, gravity, and fire.

(a) Seeds with wings: Seeds with wings are dispersed over a long distance by the wind which helps them to blow off. example seeds of drumsticks.

(b) Small and light seeds: Small and light seeds are also dispersed by wind, and water as they float and reach the new location.

(c) Seeds with spines/hooks: Seeds with spines and hooks attach to animal bodies and travel long distances and germinated in new locations.
