(ii) The I.U.P.A.C name is 1-propanol. Alcohols are named as alkanol. The parent compound contains 3 C atoms. Hence, it is derivative of propane. The last alphabate 'e' of propane is replaced with 'ol' for alcoholic OH group. The prefix 1 indicates that OH group is present on first C atom.
