Gopal Krishna Gokhale was a moderate leader during India's independence struggle. Two causes supported by Gopal Krishna Gokhale was :
1. He was a senior member of the Indian National Congress and the founder of the Servants of India Society. He campaigned for Indian self-rule and social reform.
2. He was a liberal reformer and supported the Age of Consent Bill introduced by the British Imperial Government. He wanted the expansion of Indian education. He believed that true political change could be brought about only by a new generation of Indians who were educated and were aware of their civil and patriotic duties.
