  • However, their style changed in accordance with the cultural changes over ​the years. Such changes are evident in how they depicted flora and fauna, portrayed certain figures, and in the colours they used.
  • The folk-style paintings give us an insight into the natural surroundings ​of ancient people and how they used various natural resources to ​meet their needs. ​
  • There are several rock painting sites in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Telangana. The rock paintings ​in the caves of Bhimbetka, Madhya Pradesh are immensely popular. ​
  • Bhimbetka is also a World Heritage Site.
