Ultrafiltration:

  1. Blood enters the glomerulus under pressure because the efferent arteriole is very narrow.
  2. Due to that pressure, it undergoes filtration, which is called ultrafiltration.
  3. Most of the particles get filtered; that is why it is called ultrafiltration.
  4. All small volume solutes, e.g., .urea, uric acid, and water, get filtered and enter the bowman's capsule.
  5. The product is called nephric filtrate or glomerular filtrate.
