Amnesty International is a non-governmental organisation whose main focus is on promoting human rights.It has over 7 million members and supporters around the world.The main objective of his organisation is to make a survey and take action to prevent and end grave abuses of human rights, and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.

Amnesty International was founded in London in 1961.It generates consciousness among public to put pressure on governments which does not take necessary action against human abuse.The organisation was awarded the 1977 Nobel Peace Prize for its "campaign against torture,"and the United Nations Prize in the Field of Human Rights in 1978.This organisation has a longest history of working for human rights promotion ad is widely recognised.
