• In general, there are two ways to control the population. They are artificial population control and natural population control.
• Methods of artificial population control include enforced child number limits, sterilization, abortion, and killing.
• Sterilization is any of a number of medical methods of birth control that intentionally leaves a person unable to reproduce. Sterilization methods include both surgical(vasectomy in males and tubectomy in females) and non-surgical and exist for both males and females. Sterilization procedures are intended to be permanent; reversal is generally difficult or impossible.
