Petty Cash Voucher

Open in App
Solution

A petty cash voucher is a document that is used to write down or record petty cash payments and also support payments of small amounts to employees in an organisation or business under a petty cash system. Expenses, such as postage, transport charges etc., occur very frequently in an organisation and it becomes very difficult for the main cashier to accommodate them in the main cash book. Thus, a petty cashier is appointed, who is authorised to make payments of petty cash expenses and record them in the Petty Cash Book using these petty cash vouchers.
