The top-level management consists of CEOs, Managing Directors, Board of Directors, etc.
The following are the functions of the top-level management:
i. They prepare the objectives of the organisation that are to be achieved in a specified time period.
ii. The top-level management prepares the plans and policies for the achievement of organisational goals.
iii. They check whether the plans and policies so designed are implemented effectively.
iv. They create positions in the organisation as per the requirements to accomplish the activities effectively.
v. They communicate the plans to the middle-level management and closely co-ordinate with them on how to get those plans executed.
vi. They evaluate the performances of the different departments.
