Write Short notes on Measures undertaken for improvement of literacy rate.

Literacy rate is the ability of a person to read and write. The government has taken following measures to increase literacy rates are:-

1) Providing free education in rural areas. Poverty being one of the reasons children cannot study hence, providing primary education free of cost will help the kids.

2) Sarva shiksha Abhiyan to proide free and compulsory education to kids of the age 6-14 years, making it a fundamental right.

3) Giving scholarships to children having interest in studies.
