The importance of co-ordinating are:
1. Unity of direction: Co-ordinating brings the efforts of the employees with different interests, the manner of working, tolerance level, objectives, etc. in one direction for the attainment of the organisational goals.
2. Functional differentiation: It integrates the functions of the various departments of the organisation.
3. Less disputes: It assesses the nature and scope of the work performed by the employees and helps in solving any disputes among them.
4. Goal reconciliation: It helps to reconcile the goals of the employees with that of the organisation.
