Xylem is a type of plant vascular tissue that is responsible for the movement of water and minerals from the roots to all the different parts of the plant. It supplies only water and minerals. Xylem has unidirectional flow.
Phloem is another type of plant vascular tissue that transports food from the leaves to all the different parts of the plant. Phloem has bidirectional flow.
