Writing the decimal number in lowest terms -

Remove the decimal point in the decimal number and put $10$ or powers of $10$ in the denominator that is determined by number of digits in the decimal part.

Now , the numerator and denominator has no common factor other than $1$, therefore it is the lowest form .

Hence ,$3.05$ as fraction in lowest terms is $\frac{61}{20}$
