Dear student

The reaction where a base is nullified by the action of an acid and the acid is nullified by the action of the base , leading to formation of salt and water are called Neutralisation reactions.

For e.g. NaOH + HCl → NaCl + H₂O

Mg(OH)₂ + H₂SO₄ →MgSO₄ + 2H₂O
