Solution

Properties of Hydrochloric acid:

Action of Dilute Hydrochloric acid on Sodium thiosulfate: Dil.HCl reacts with Sodium thiosulfate solution(Na2S2O3) and produces Sulphur dioxideSO2 and yellow Sulphur is precipitated.

Na2S2O3(aq)+2HCl(aq)2NaCl(s)+H2O(l)+SO2(g)+S(s)

So the reaction of Sodium thiosulfate, Dil.HCl gives Sulphur dioxideSO2 and yellow Sulphur.
