Magnesium carbonate is an insoluble weak base when reacts with sulphuric acid it produce soluble magnesium sulphate \((MgSO_{4})\)water and carbon dioxide. The equation for the reaction can be given as , \(MgCO_{3}+H_{2}SO_{4}\rightarrow MgSO_{4}+H_{2}O +CO_{2}\)
