Chemical change: A change in which one or more new substances are formed is called a chemical change. Some examples of chemical changes are the burning of any substance, and rusting of Iron(Fe).

Some of the characteristics of chemical change are:

  • In Chemical changes there is always a new product formed.
  • In chemical changes the changes occur in the composition of the substance
  • The changes in Chemical change are generally irreversible and permanent.
  • In chemical changes, It might give off light or heat.
  • In chemical changes, acolour change might occur.
