Solution

(a) Calcium oxide reacts with nitric acid (HNO3) to form aqueous calcium nitrate and water.

CaO (s) + 2HNO3 (aq) → Ca(NO3)2 (aq) + H2O(l)

(b) Ca + 2CH3COOH = Ca(CH3COO)2 + H2

(c) NaOH(s) + H2O(l) ----> Na+ (aq) + OH- (aq)

(d) H2SO4 + 2NH4OH > (NH4)2SO4 + 2H2O
