Reaction between Ammonium chloride and slaked lime: Slaked lime/ calcium hydroxide($\mathrm{Ca}{\left(\mathrm{OH}\right)}_2$) is a strong base than Ammonia(${\mathrm{NH}}_3$), So it displaces Ammonia from Ammonium chloride salt(${\mathrm{NH}}_4$).
