It is stored in an Air-tight vessel/container. Because it will absorb the heat and can sublime to gaseous $C O_{2} .$
Dry Ice is so called as it matches with Ice. Since $C O_{2} .$ cannot exist in liquid form. It sublimes straight from a solid to gas that is why it is called Dry Ice.
