Open in App
Solution

Describe the condition for a unique solution:

Consider the following equations:

a1x+b1y+c1=0a2x+b2y+c2=0

These equations have a unique solution if a1a2≠b1b2.

If and only if the specified linear equations in two variables meet at a single point, the solution will be unique for both equations.

Hence, the equations a1x+b1y+c1=0,a2x+b2y+c2=0 have a unique solution if a1a2≠b1b2.
