(letters indicate type of teeth and figures indicate the number of teeth of each type in half portion of the jaw)

1. The dental formula of deciduous teeth (milk teeth) in a human child: $\frac{\mathrm{Upper}\mathrm{jaw}21,1\mathrm{C},2\mathrm{M}}{\mathrm{Lower}\mathrm{jaw}21,1\mathrm{C},2\mathrm{M}}=20$

(premolars are absent in the deciduous sets).
