Solution

Arteries

Veins

Arteries carry oxygen-rich blood from the heart to different parts of the body.

Veins bring oxygen-poor blood from all parts of the body back to the heart.

Arteries are thick walled.

Veins are thin walled.

Blood flows under high pressure in the arteries.

Blood flows with low pressure in the veins.

Arteries carry oxygenated blood except pulmonary artery that carries deoxygenated blood.

Veins carry deoxygenated blood except pulmonary vein that carries oxygenated blood.

Arteries are generally red in colour since they carry pure, oxygenated blood.

Veins are generally blue in colour since they carry impure, deoxygenated blood.
