Solution
Red muscle is the thin muscles with abundant myoglobin pigment, mitochondria. They show slow and sustained contractions for a prolonged time without fatigue.
They depend on aerobic metabolism for energy. No accumulation of lactic acid takes place. Examples: Extensor back muscles.
White muscles are the thick muscles with less myoglobin and mitochondria. They show fast contractions but fatigue soon.
They depend on anaerobic metabolism for energy and leads to the accumulation of lactic acid. Example: Muscles of eyelids.
