Write the differences between Rabi and Kharif crops.

Kharif crops:

  1. Kharif crops are grown with the onset of monsoon in different parts of the country and these are harvested in September-October.
  2. Eg: Paddy, maize, jawar, bajra, tur (arhar), moong, urad, cotton, jute, groundnut, and soya bean.

Rabi crops:

  1. Rabi crops are sown in winter from October to December and harvested in summer from April to June.
  2. Eg: wheat, barley, peas, gram, and mustard.
Kharif crops Rabi crops
1. These crops are sown at the beginning of the rainy season. 1. These crops are sown at the end of the winter season.
2. It usually occurs in the month of April and May.2. It occurs usually in the month of September and October.
