  1. These tissues are simple. They are made up of only one type of cell.
  2. Here, all the cells that make up the tissue are similar and have the same structure, with the same type of parts.
  3. Simple permanent tissues are again classified into three main types. They are parenchyma, collenchyma, and sclerenchyma.

  3. They are classified into two types – Xylem and Phloem

4. They perform various functions like storage, protection etc.
Their main function is to carry out conduction or transportation.
