CITES : Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. It is a treaty between states on a global scale. Its goal is to ensure that international trading in wild animal and plant specimens does not jeopardize the species' survival.
IBWL: Indian Board for Wild Life. The NBWL is the highest body for wildlife and habitat conservation, and its function is important in ensuring the long-term protection of India's biodiversity. The National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) was established under the Wild Life (Protection) Act of 1972 as a "statutory board" (wildlife act).
MAB: Man and the Biosphere Programme. It is an intergovernmental scientific initiative started by UNESCO in 1971 with the goal of establishing a scientific foundation for the betterment of human-environment connections.
