Question

Write the following decimal in lowest form

3.8

Open in App
Solution

Fractions are parts of a whole, where the numerator represents the equal part and the denominator represents the whole thing.

To convert a number into a fraction we remove the decimal by dividing the number by 10for every number after the decimal.

3.8 has only one number after the decimal so, we will divide it by 10.

By simplifying the fractions, we get

3810=2×192×5=195

Hence, the lowest form of given fraction is 195=345
