Step 1: Writing the number in Indian place value system:

Indian Place value system: Nine places are grouped into four periods: ones, thousands, lakhs, and crores. The first comma is placed after three digits from the right, and the next commas are placed after every two digits.

In Indian place value system 12456387 will be written as 1,24,56,387 which in words will be called One crore twenty-four lakh fifty-six thousand three hundred eighty-seven.

Step 2: Writing the number in International place value system:

International Place value system: Nine places are grouped into three periods: ones, thousands, and millions. Starting from the right end, the numbers in all the periods are separated by a comma after every three digits.

In international place value system 12456387 will be written as 12,456,387 which in words will be called Twelve million four hundred fifty-six thousand three hundred eighty-seven.

Hence, in Indian and International place value system 12456387 will be written as one crore twenty-four lakh fifty-six thousand three hundred eighty-seven and twelve million four hundred fifty-six thousand three hundred eighty-seven respectively.
