Solution

Descending orders of rational numbers:

The given rational numbers are 87,-98,-32,0,25.

To compare rational numbers. first, we have to make denominators of all the rational numbers to be equal.

After taking LCM of the denominators7,8,2,and5 we get 280

87=87×4040=320280-98=-98×3535=-315280-32=-32×140140=-42028025=25×5656=112280

When the denominators of the rational numbers are the same. Then, the rational number with a larger numerator will be greater.

∵320280>112280>0>-315280>-420280∴87>25>0>-98>-32

Hence, descending order is 87>25>0>-98>-32.
