(ii) Iodoform reaction
(iii) Frankland reaction
(iv) Fitting reaction

Solution

(i) Carbylamine reaction: On heating chloroform with primary amine (e.g. animline) and alcoholic KOH solution, phenylisocyanide or carbylamine is formed which has a very bad smell and is poisonous.
C6H5NH2+CHCl3+KOHAnilineC6H5=C+3KCl+3H2OPhenylisocyanide
Application: Chloroform and primary amine can by tasted by this reaction.
(ii) Iodoform reaction: When acetone or alcohol heating with iodine and sodium hydro-oxide form the Iodoform.
CH3COCH3+4NaOH+3I2CHI3+CH3COONa+3NaI+3H2O
(iii) Frankland reaction: This reaction is likely to wurtz reaction. In this reaction we use zink inplace of sodium.
RI+Zn+IRRR+ZnI2
(iv) Fitting reaction: When haloalkanes area heated with sodium metal and haloalkanes in ethereal solution the halogen atom is replaced by alkye group and two phenyl rings unite forming diphenye
C6H5Cl+2Na+ClC2H5Dryether−−−−C6H5C6H5+2NaCl
