Soil formation is a naturally occuring phenomena.It is the loose covering o he earth's surface.It is mainly formed by weathering of rocks and minerals.The surface rocks are broken into pieces by the process of weathering and these gets mixed with the mosses and organic matter.Gradually, this forms a thin layer of soil.Decaying matter like the animal bodies makes the soil rich and fertile.
Alluvial soil is formed by the deposition of silts called alluvium which are carried by the rivers.It consists of sand, silt and clay.It is a very fertile soil adequate for cultivation.
