Solution

Suppose a solution contains two components A and B. The number of moles of A and B are $n_{A}$ and $n_{B}$ respectively. The mole fractions of A and B are $X_{A}$ and $X_{B}$ respectively. Then
$X_{A} = \frac{n_{A}}{n_{A} + n_{B}}$
$X_{B} = \frac{n_{B}}{n_{A} + n_{B}}$
Also $X_{B} = 1 - X_{A}$
