Multiply numerator and denominator of the fraction by a suitable number so that the denominator becomes 10 or a power of 10

4×25×2=810. [ Multiplying the numerator and denominator by 2 ]

Step 2 : Writing the fraction as decimal

Count the number of zeros in the denominator of the fraction and place the decimal point in the numerator after as many digits as the number of zeros , counting from right to left.

Hence , 45 as expressed as decimals as 0.8
