Red pigment of Red Blood Cells (RBCs) is haemoglobin (Iron containing pigment).
The haemoglobin picks up O2 molecules from the lungs to form oxyhaemoglobin which causes the blood to have its bright red colour,& then diffuses into the cells which need O2 around the body.
Bile
Bile salt - emulsifies fat into smaller oil droplets, increases the surface area for further digestion by lipase.
Bile contains NO digestive enzymes.
NaHCO3 - to neutralize the acidic food from the stomach and to provide an alkaline medium for the functions of enzymes in pancreatic juice and intestinal juice.
Bile pigment - breakdown residue of aging red blood cells in liver. Excreted out of the body together with the faeces.

To kill bacteria in food.
To convert inactive gastric proteases into active form.
To provide an acid medium for the action of gastric proteases.
