Brain stem:

1. Brainstem is the bottom part of your brain.
2. It is also known as the medulla oblongata.
3. It looks like a stalk and connects the rest of brain to spinal cord.
4. It sends signals from brain to the rest of the body.
5. It controls many subconscious body functions, like breathing,digestion and maintaining your heart rate.
6. It helps us in maintaining our posture and controlling our reflexes.
