Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH):

It is a gonadotropin, polypeptide hormone which is generated and secreted by Gonadotropic cells present in the anterior pituitary gland.

Functions of FSH:

  1. In males, FSH and androgens work together to control spermatogenesis.
  2. In females, this hormone enhances the formation and development of ovarian follicles.
