a. Phloem parenchyma
Phloem parenchyma constitutes the living component of the phloem tissue. These are simple parenchyma cells.

b. Xylem parenchyma
Xylem parenchyma constitutes simple parenchyma cells, the only living cells of xylem tissue.
Function
Xylem parenchyma functions as the storage unit of food materials, storing food as starch, fats, etc.
c. Xylem fibres
These are long, non-living cells with thick lignin deposition on the walls and have long tapering lumens in them.
Function
Xylem fibres help in the movement of water and nutrients to various parts of the plant.
