Solution

Write algebraic expression of given statement and identify whether it is monomial, binomial or trinomial.

An expression that contains only single term is known as monomial.

An expression that consist of two terms is known as binomial.

An expression that contains three terms is known as trinomial.

Three times of p is,

3p

Two times of q is,

2q

Now, three times of p and two times of q are multiplied as,

3p×2q=6pq

Then, 6pq subtracted from r,

r6pq

Identify the above expression as monomial, binomial or trinomial.

The obtained expression consist of two terms, so it is a binomial.

Therefore, the obtained expression is r6pq and it is a binomial.
