Solution

Firstly, form the greatest number with the given digits repeating any one of them.

Step 1: Arrange the given digits in descending order.

Here, 7 > 5 > 4 > 1 > 0

Step 2: Form the required number using the digits in above order and repeating the greatest digit twice.

The greatest 6-digit number is 7,75,410.

Secondly, to form the smallest number with the given digits repeating any one of them.

Step 1: Arrange the given digits in ascending order.

Here, 0 < 1 < 4 < 5 < 7.

Step 2: Form the required number using the digits in above order and repeating the smallest digit twice.

Since, we cannot place 0 at the extreme left, substitute it with the digit on its immediate right . So, the smallest 6-digit number is 1,00,457.

So, the greatest and the smallest 6-digit numbers using the digits 5,7,1,4 and 0 repeating any one of them are 7,75,410 and 1,00,457 respectively.
