Two consecutive odd numbers do not have any common factor other than $1$

Lets take an example of two consecutive odd numbers and find their HCF, let the numbers be $25,27$

$5$	$25$	$3$	$27$
$5$	$5$	$3$	$9$
	$1$	$3$	$3$
			$1$
Prime Factor of $25$ is $5$		Prime Factor of $27$ is $3$

So we can clearly see that there is no common factor other than $1$

hence the HCF of two consecutive odd numbers is always $1$
