Quit India Movement: The Working Committee of National Congress sanctioned the resolution named 'Quit India' at Wardha on July 14, 1942.
(a) The resolution was finally approved at all Indian Congress meet held at Mumbai under the leadership of Maulana Azad.
(b) The leadership of this movement was given to Mahatma Gandhi.
(c) Gandhiji gave the message of 'Do or Die' to Indians.
(d) To suppress this movement, British Government arrested prominent leaders of National Congress such as Maulana Azad, Pandit Nehru, Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi on 9th of August 1942.
(e) People got infuriated by this incident and came on the street.
(f) Meetings were arranged in Mumbai, Pune, Banaras, Delhi, Meerut, Mathura and Allahabad to protest against Britishers.
(g) The Satyagrahis took the administration in their hands and established parallel Government under the leadership of Nana Patil at Satara district in Maharashtra.
(h) Quit India movement also spread to South-East Asia, in China and Japan where Indians were settled.
The Azad Hind Sena: Ras Bihari Bose established Azad Hind Sena by taking inspiration from the parallel governments which were launched in India.
