(ii) The IUPAC name of $K [P t (N H_{3}) {C l}_{3}]$ is potassiumaminetrichloroplatinate(II).
Note: The name of cation is written first followed by the name of anion.
A complex cation is named by writing the names of ligands followed by the name of metal ion with oxidation number in roman numerals in parenthesis.
A complex anion is named by writing the names of ligands followed by the name of metal ending with suffix -ate.
