The metamers are the isomers in which the alkyl groups attached to the $- O -$ linkage are different.
For diethyl ether there are two metamers which are as follow:
$C_{2} H_{5} - O - C_{2} H_{5}$ and $C H_{3} - C H_{2} - C H_{2} - O - C H_{3}$
The IUPAC name of the two metamers are $E t h o x y e t h a n e$ and $1 - m e t h o x y p r o p a n e$ .
