Solution

The molecular formula and structure of BHA and BHT are as follows:
BHT i.e. Butylated Hydroxy Toluene
Formula: ((CH3)3C)2CH3C6H2OH(C15H24O)
BHA i.e. Butylated Hydroxy Anisole.
Formula: (CH3)3CC6H3(OCH3)(OH)(C11H16O2)

Thermoplastic polymers : A thermoplastic (also called thermosoftening plastic) is a polymer which becomes pliable or moldable above a specific temperature and returns to a solid state upon cooling.
Most thermoplastic polymers have a high molecular weight and polymer chains associate through intermolecular forces.
The physical properties of a thermoplastic polymer change drastically without an associated phase change below its melting point and above its glass transition temperature.
Example : PMMA i.e., poly methyyl methacrylate, Nylon etc.

Aldol condensation : Two molecules of a suitable aldehyde or Ketone under the influence of dilute alkali combine to form a β- hydroxyaldehyde or βhydroxyketone. For example
CH3CHOEthanal+HCH2CHOEthanalCa(OH)2−−−−OHCH3CH(OH)CH2CHO3hydroxybutanal(Acetaldol)
This reaction is called aldol condensation as the product (3hydroxy butanal) contains both a hydroxyl group and an aldehyde group.
Similar condensation of two molecules of ketones is also designated as aldol condensation although the product in that case contains keto rather than aldehyde group. For example
