  • Ethene is an unsaturated hydrocarbon having a double bond between two carbon atoms and four hydrogen atoms.
  • The molecular formula of Ethene will be C2H4.

Electron dot structure:

  • Electron dot structure is given by keeping the Octet rule in mind which states that during the formation of a molecule, an atom of a particular element can gain, lose or share electrons until the stable electronic configuration of 8 electrons in its valence shell is reached.
