Account payee crossing, A/c payee are inserted in between two parallel lines. It increases the safety of a cheque and prevents frauds. It is an instruction to collecting bank to collect the amount of cheque only if the payee is having account with him. If the payee does not have an account with any bank, he cannot encash the cheque.
