Where, $\mathrm{n}$ is the number of Carbon atoms in Alkyne compound and,

$2\mathrm{n}-2$ tells about the number of Hydrogen atoms in an alkyne compound.

Step 2:

The number of Carbon atom is 4 so, $\mathrm{n}=4$.

Substitute the value of $\mathrm{n}$ in $2\mathrm{n}-2$.

$\begin{array}{rcl}2\left(4\right)-2& =& 8-2\\ & =& 6\end{array}$

So, the number of Hydrogen atoms is 6.
