Write the polynomial 3x25x2 as a product of two first degree polynomials.

Given polynomial is 3x25x2.

By using the quadratic formula,
x=(5)±25+246=5±496=5±76=2 or 13

If α and β are roots of the equation ax2+bx+c=0, then it can be rewritten as ax2+bx+c=a(xα)(xβ).

So, by using the above definition 3x25x2=3(x2)(x+13).
