Open in App
Solution

Homo habilis diet was flexible and versatile as they eat a broad range of food including tougher foods such as leaves, woody plants and some animal tissues. They used to eat meat but not hard foods like brittle nuts or seeds, dried meat or hard tubers.
Homo erectus, on the other hand, had the diet somewhat like Homo sapiens (humans). They used to crunch and chew on foods, such as tough meat and crisp root vegetables. They ate meat and other types of protein that could be quickly digested which made it possible to absorb nutrients with a shorter digestive tract thereby energy was available faster.
